Stromboli/Calzone Roll Recipe

1 cup warm water
1 Tbsp yeast
1 tsp salt
1 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp basil
2-3 cups flour
2 Tbsp parm. cheese
Bake @ 375 for 17 minutes
-Brew yeast in warm water.
-Add salt, sugar, basil and 2 cups flour. Knead in parm. cheese, adding more flour as needed.
-Let rise 15-30 minutes.
-Roll out crust to a rectangle, less than 1/2 inch thick.
-Fill with ingredients you like, anything you can put in a warm sandwich.
-Fold ends in first, then sides. Pinch closed. Flip over to bake.
**I've tried and like ham, swiss cheese and broccoli, or pizza sause, cheese, pepperoni and mushrooms**
Gyros
Filling:
1 lb. boneless chicken breast (grilled or sauteed, sliced & seasoned with garlic)
pita bread
2 tomatoes, diced
1 red onion, thinly sliced
Sauce:
1 cup sour cream
1 mediun cucumber, chopped
2 tsp dill weed
1/2 tsp garlic, minced
2 tsp sugar
-Place the sause ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Lightly warm pitas, make pockets, and stuff with chicken, tomatoes and onion. Top with sauce.
